Taco Nano is the brainchild of Freddy Sanchez. A native of Guerrao, Mexico, Sanchez came to Chicago at the age of sixteen. After graduating from Washburn Culinary School in Chicago, Sanchez worked his way through many of the city’s great restaurants including Ed Debevic’s and Shaw’s Crab House. Sanchez has held chef positions at Food Life and Scoozi, in addition to the title of Corporate Chef for the Adobo Grill.
In 2009, Sanchez became the Executive Chef of The Happ Inn Bar and Grill in Northfield. Building off of his fine dining background, Sanchez conceptualized a family friendly taqueria focused on using authentic flavors while addressing the needs of the health conscious and dietary restricted diners. Taco Nano is looking forward to becoming part of the community and bringing satiety to all!
